Instagram is a mobile software which is brain child of Kevin Systrom, a school good friend of Mark Zuckerberg’s. How can local small businesses utilize Instagram? First, you have to register. To join up a business you must have a location site. In order to create location page for your business, you must create an account in Foursquare. Foursquare is an area established social media site for mobile users. Instagram uses Foursquare’s location database to tag a photography to that particular location. If your location is not already listed on Foursquare’s database, you can add it by pursuing these steps as advised on Instagram’s webpage:

Tap into the “Add this place” option.
Once you’ve added the destination to the Foursquare database, you should be able to look for it on the Location display in Instagram and choose it to tag your image with the place you’ve created.
