Have you ever wondered how data is transmitted in a wireless communication channel? How can they be propagated and how they are received by the correct device? The wireless communication has been a boon to mankind, one which has helped to develop the various technologies to maximum extend. It is what keeps the world going smoothly.
The wireless data are much better than the wired ones. You might have an idea about how data would be transmitted in the wired connections. It would be similar to the data flowing through the wires like that of electricity. The concept is much simpler to understand and also, you can easily grasp the working without many hassles.
In the wireless communication the data is transferred in the form of digital data. You must have heard of different frequencies of operation. This is because you have to choose a frequency band through which you would have to transmit the data. For long distance microwave frequencies are opted while infra red is opted for short distances.
Once you have chosen the frequency band you transmit the data over it. The sounds or the signals are in the form of analog signals, or sinusoidal signals. These signals are converted into the digital data through various techniques like BPSK, FSK and many other which are all advanced communication theories. These are then optimized to provide maximum efficiency.
The digital signals are then transmitted in a particular code. At the receiving end there would be a receiver with the similar coding, the difference being that at the transmitter there was an encoder and here there is a decoder. The signals that were originally sent would be extracted from the received signals. The techniques involved in the receiving and transmitting of digital data are quite complex and would be understood only by an expert. Nevertheless it is interesting.
