How many wireless communication devices do you come into contact with on a daily basis? Wireless communication is more than a cell phone. 2. We are more knowledgeable. With Internet added to our cell phones, we can use our prepaid card to buy groceries for dinner and then go to our online accounts to see what our account balance is while waiting in the cashier’s line.

3. We are safer. No more worrying about your daughter heading out for the weekend. With a GPS to keep her on track and a cell phone to keep you in touch, you will have the peace of mind that she will get to her destination and be able to call you if she has any problems.

4. We are more efficient. Now when we are at a dinner meeting and need to check some numbers, we don’t have to wait until the next business day to ask an assistant, and we don’t even need to call the office to look it up for us. All we have to do is turn on our phone or open up our computer.

The wireless expansion has affected our lives in more ways than these, but this can get us started on counting our technological blessings.

Introduction to Using DSL

DSL is just one of several different types of internet connections that you can use when you want to get online. DSL utilizes a regular phone line, but it is much faster in comparison to a standard dial up connection. DSL utilizes a modem and in many cases also a filter. The filter is responsible for filtering out the phone conversations so that only the internet connection remains. DSL uses an RJ-11 connector and twisted copper wires in order to establish a connection between the network and the DSL modem. The computer and the modem are then connected to one another using an RJ-45 Ethernet cable or a USB cable.

Manage Outside E-mail Hosting Accounts Through Gmail

If you have e-mail accounts through an ISP, your school, or your office, you may feel tied down because you can only access that e-mail from a specific computer.  Outlook Express and other e-mail clients can be restrictive in this way. Gmail is a web-based e-mail client that allows you to access your accounts from anywhere; you simply have to log in with the proper credentials and you are good to go.

Through the options in Gmail, you can actually set your web-based mail up to accept and send messages from other accounts.
